It's set to shrink

I'm really really busy. I'm behind with blips and even further behind with my comments.

Busy morning at work with meetings. Haircut at lunchtime. Site visits in the afternoon and an early evening meeting to end the day.

I took this blip of the Arquiva Tower at Emley as I was passing between site visits Friday afternoon. 

The tower, one of the most famous landmarks in Yorkshire, is likely to shrink by 11m as its owner applied for planning permission to remove the antenna at the top of the Grade II listed structure.


The proposed work will lower the height to 319m, but it will still retain its place as the tallest freestanding structure in the UK.
