Pui O Beach

Been a good Saturday with worship practice and wonderful time spent with friends - two separate events ;-).

Worship practice was so stress-free without our horrible neighbour's upstairs. They're on holiday, yippee!!! And we were actually able to enjoy practicing without the hassle of security coming and telling us to keep it down.

Later in the day, we'd planned to go to south Lantau to a beach that we haven't been to in at least 10 years!!! We went when we'd first arrived in HK, but haven't been since.

We'd planned to go with friends Pam and Brent. Had a lovely time sitting on the beach, and then dinner at a rather funky, "youngish" restaurant with live Dj and LOTS of trendy young people. Felt positively old, but we enjoyed the vibe and the food was delicious. There is talk of going back already.

We sat on the beach again after we'd eaten and watched a storm gathering, terrific lightning before the storm actually hit. Made it back to DB just in time for the incredible downpour! We could have showered in it, it was sooo heavy ... and warm :). Fantastic evening with friends (who are going to be empty nesting just like us in September).
