Colorful Ribbon

Today was icky (an official meteorologic word).  It might be better described as stifling.  It didn't rain here in the valley, despite its threatening appearance but I did see it pouring over the scenic Santa Rita Mountains.  There were even flashes of lightening there.

One of the highlights of the monsoon is looking out the window during the late afternoon and catching a glimpse of a partial or full rainbow opposite the sinking sun.

This view from my living room shows some of the uniqueness of it... mountains, storms,  rainbow, ocotillo (ak-a-tee-yo) and cholla (choy-a) cactus
