Cavanaugh Creek - South Fork Nooksack

Spent the day out on the South Fork laying out locations for engineered logjams to be constructed this summer. It was a great day in the field and flows were also low enough to allow us to cross the river to investigate the namesake for our project, Cavanaugh Creek. If those don't look like normal streambed cobbles to you, they're not. The angular and flat nature is an artifact of their geology and relatively young age.
