Royal Scots monument

Caught the bus to town mid-morning. Feeling like some exercise so I  walked from the west end down King's Stables road, through the Grassmarket, up Victoria Street to the royal mile and then down New Steps to Waverley. Visited the City Art Centre - some wonderful watercolours and sketches on display in the Paper Trail Exhibition
Met Dennis for lunch - soup and sandwiches in Princes street gardens. The sun had come out by this time.
