Reddest Tomato

Redder than even red...so red our eyes can't see red any more.  An "heirloom" tomato in infrared.  The stripes on the real one are actually lighter than the rest of the tomato but, once again, IR proves irrational to our brains and eyes.  Black fabric, for instance, usually reads white in IR because the same dyes that absorb most visible light (which makes the fabric appear black to our eyes) also happen to be very reflective of near infrared light (which means the same fabric appears bright white in IR).
