Tallow Chandlers Hall

This photo is taken standing in the courtyard looking out towards Dowgate Hill. Their website tells us that the Tallow Chandlers have had a hall on this site since 1476 although sadly it was burnt down in the Great Fire of 1666. A replacement was built though in 1672. Sadly only a couple of beams remain of the 1476 original. I was here for a Court meeting and then lunch with the Worshipful Company of Constructors
