Medemblik

Some rather lovely boats in Medemblik harbour.

Ally was quite taken with some of the motor boats, until he realised the outer harbour had even bigger ones, which was obviously just the overflow for the even bigger millionaire's yachts round the next corner. I liked the old sailing boats.

The campervan parking, is in a car park at the marina, which we were told about in the tourist information centre at Den Oever . The original site we were going to stay in was at the harbour there, but the drunk Yorkshireman that attached himself to us when we went to a local hotel, urged us onwards.

We had a very peaceful night in Medemblik, after a lovely Italian meal and walk around the marina. It is a place we will return to.
