South Campus
I don't often work on the older South Campus at the school. Today I did and was allocated a room in the oldest and most emblematic building of all - the A Building. My room opened off the original cafeteria-bar of IESE which today is seldom or ever used. Twenty five years ago I took my first ever cup of strong black Spanish coffee standing in the very position I occupy in this photo. I distinctly remember talking to Andy Mathieson and Martin Root, as well as Rob Wilson for the first time during that coffee break. I also remember the crush and high spirits on a Friday afternoon when we all piled in for a few beers after class before going down the hill to continue at El Dret. It's funny to say but I felt everyone was with me again today - a warm and reassuring experience.
