Glorious ...

... light we had this morning. Although the sky was clouded there was beautiful, beautiful light ... light that seems to come directly inside you and invites to capture the world around you ... your eyes, the main instrument of your photographic equipment see so much beauty then ...

The world around me was the backyard. This morning a new lily had come to full bloom. This flower has a long and meaningful history. Lilies know a lot of symbolism. They are among  more associated with concepts such as peace, purity, innocence, virginity, fertility, simplicity, transience and spiritual love. These symbols were already known at the time of the ancient Greeks and Romans. Brides from that time received a wreath of lilies that represent a pure and fruitful life. In the Middle Ages, the lily was the symbol of peace. (My translation of the first paragraph of an article you can find on InfoNu.nl called: Lelie, een serene sensatie).

For who's interested in some technique
You can picture this kind of light with a big (small number) aperture and a high shutter speed and spot measuring the reflecting light from the flower. I used the Olympus camera cause it's a 2x crop camera which gives an acceptable depth of field for such a capture.
