Barnes Bridge

I've just discovered Barnes, thanks to a chap called Stuart who contacted me at Spitalfields. The village is amazingly quiet and undisturbed, full of toy shops and little supermarkets that never made it to become chains.

The banks of The Thames at this point are shored up with concrete like the wave breaks at the seaside. It's quite an extraordinary place.
