Search for the Golden Children

This is my latest Illustration for Chris Bird's story, The Waves. (Done on a mini iPad using Brushes. It was the one I had to re draw)

It tells of golden children that appear on a beach causing social upheaval and alarm in the local population. The children turn out to have magical powers that bring relief to all kinds of suffering.

'As the soldiers stepped into the shadows they thought they could hear distant laughing. At first they weren’t sure. Were they imagining the sounds? As they slowly moved deeper into the cave they could hear the laughter more and more clearly. The sound of children laughing filled their ears!I. Stone and rock were lit by the flame as they searched every part of the huge caverns.'
