Bus Challenge No 92!!

Clevedon Pier – “The most beautiful pier in England.” Sir John Betjeman

Inspired by yesterday’s Summer sunshine, I decided to head to the seaside today! So a bus into Bristol, and then a second bus heading west, took me to Clevedon and it’s lovely Victorian pier. The pier was opened in 1869 to receive paddle steamer passengers from Devon and Wales, and is the only Grade 1 listed pier you can visit in England.

As you can see, it wasn’t the brightest of days but it was still pleasantly warm and I enjoyed pootling around the shops before a salty chip lunch (well, I was at the seaside!) and a stroll along the pier with the South Wales coastline as a backdrop.

Total bus journey times = 3 hr 7 mins
Total waiting in between buses time = 29 mins
Total journey time = 3 hr 36 mins

(Hope to have a major catchup tomorrow, and finally get around to replying to your kind comments...)
