Remembering

"when your mother calls you come"
I've been listening this week at 21.45 on radio 3, a wonderful series of newly commissioned poems to remember the Somme. The link with take you to Tuesday evenings poem : 15 minutes via radio iPlayer. I was particularly touched by this : a memorial to the West Indian men who died at the Somme.

My extra : a smile. My local The Playhouse Bar's sign that made me smile. The couple were happy to let an old woman take a snap : I was drawn to her smile and colours.
