Reunion

We're spending a couple of days visiting one of my best K friends and her husband and gorgeous new baby in Oldham.

It's a fascinating place. It feels a little as though we're back in the Middle East with lots of people out celebrating Eid and men spilling out of mosques.

J and I are having a recurring conversation: could we /what would it be like to live in a town like this in the future if we ever had to move back. The area our friends live in appears to be a very needy place (sad how many betting shops there are).
