A slice of Lesley's life

So the regrouping has begun and far more successfully than I imagined it would yesterday. I do think sometimes these set backs can act as a catalyst - I even got a wry smile from J when I said I had found some positives from the day. I like to think he finds my Easter Bunny tendencies endearing...though I try not to push it...

So we have been out for a walk and played Exploding Kittens and talked about plans for how to make a hospital stay work better next time. And laughed at Jose Mourinho and played the can you guess who said what about their resignation game* in G2.

Meanwhile Anna had a good day at school followed by a netball tournament and open evening at school to show us her work from the year. Including this actually quite splendid moving toy that works remarkably well. I know I shouldn't be so surprised but I am.

And I have finally managed to get into a new book...The Hours, Michael Cunningham...not entirely sure why but I have started, and failed to progress with, about 5 others in the last fortnight.

*note for my future self that there will undoubtedly come a time when the world will seem normal again and we will have forgotten that this was the week that David Cameron, Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage, a gazillion Labour shadow cabinet MPs, Roy Hodgson & Chris Evans all resigned their posts. Did I miss anyone?
