empty lagoon

a quick trip to Southend this morning and the progress on the seafront lagoon is clear to see. They are hoping to have it open by the summer holidays and this is what it looked like as the tide was coming in at lunchtime.  Still lots of diggers about moving rocks and it will be an interesting sight when it's all finished. I still think they missed an opportunity to turn it into a giant penguin enclosure!! A much better use of the space and the nearly million pound budget!!! ;)
