Picture postcard
After cycling past the start of the Tour de France and doing the tourist climb of Mont Saint Michel, we had a lovely dinner at a restaurant, bedecked with "Tour" paraphernalia. Superb meal, even if the Maitre de couldn't have turned his nose higher at our poor French . He thrust English menus at us and didn't even smile when we explained we were Scottish!
Ah weel.
Afterwards we headed to the bridge to await the Thunder and lightening storm that was forecast. By the time we got there, the show had started and the best spots taken. I managed this before my battery gave out. I did "Borrow" Ally's camera and captured the lightning once and if he lets me, I will post it too, but with the smaller camera the quality alas is not as good.
The rest of the night was punctuated with paperazzi style flashes through the blackout blinds in Claudette and not very light showers.
The tide had gone out from around the van when we got up the next day, thank goodness.
As aye
