Hyperion
While in Newmarket today I walked past the National Horseracing Museum in the High Street and saw this bronze statue of a horse I've never heard of before.
Born in 1930, it won the Derby and St Leger in 1933, and retired to stud at the age of five in 1935. More stud work in the USA in the 1950s and lived until 1960. His skeleton is now at the museum in Newmarket.
