Maeve, Two Gannets and Islay

Day off today but sadly no Art in the Hothouse session this Tuesday.
After a wander round town with Maeve, taking in the second hand bookshop we headed out to Westport beach for a wander along the sands.
We headed along the beach towards Machrihanish watching the gannets diving. So beautiful to see and I love the white of their plumage against the dark sky.
After our walk we headed to Glenbarr for lunch, which was delicious as always.
Bought the anemone Wild Swan, that was the subject of last weeks painting session, while we were there.
I hope it does well in our garden.
