Do you love me enough to give me your last Haribo?
From the photographic evidence I have, apparently not. The next two shots are of P taking a Haribo out of bag and then scoffing it, much to Miss A's dismay. It wasn't all bad though, he then went onto share his packet of lovehearts with her, for which she was eternally grateful and he instantly became her best friend.
It was a lovely, lovely day. We met with H and Ab at the Botanics, where Esther and P paid us a surprise visit. We lunched in relative peace while the kids played, then we spent hours in the gardens and in a little wooded area where the kids made new friends. They got into packs and hunted for rabbit holes and mouse holes, climbed trees, pretended to be pirates and played hide and seek. They were absolutely in their element and it was just a joy to watch. It also meant the mummies had a decent amount of time for a catch up - a real novelty.
The kids were having so much fun Little D only napped for around 20 minutes and by the time we got home both kids were wiped out. A brief visit from Jo and Katie perked them up but it was all tears when they left. A quick dinner and bath later, the kids were out for the count. And it was only 6.30pm. Result!
Some more shots from the day here.
