Deep purple.

We went up to Cotswold Lavender today . It's looking beautiful, although the wild flowers are a bit late due to the cold spring . It's quite high and exposed up there too so the lavender is a bit behind too.
We went a little way into the wild flower patch being very careful to walk on what was a footpath or so we thought. We were asked to stick to the footpaths! We apologised and said that we had been very careful, and thought we were sticking to the footpaths. It wasn't a path but a bit which had been trampled already .
Meanwhile hordes of foreign tourists were romping between the actual rows of lavender and getting away with it! Grrrrr!
