North Haven, Fair Isle

So it is farewell to Fair Isle.  The Bird Observatory used to be based in a series of old naval huts (some of which still exist at the top of the pier) but the 5 year old Observatory now offers ensuite accommodation and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.  And there is a bar!

So we venture to the Shetland Mainland and maybe straight back to Orcadia - or not - it is all down to CMC’s whims.  We all know only too well what whims can be.

If Harpo Marx was still alive he would be 126.  Who can forget his exquisite glissando variations?
