Little Walsingham, Big Sky

A beautiful day. By a happy stroke of luck, Hanne Lene and I both had a day off at the same time, and she was keen to go to Little Walsingham and take a look around. 
Little Walsingham is an extraordinary place. It seems to have churches, chapels and shrines of every conceivable church denomination and the ruins of an ancient priory. The River Stiffkey runs through it and there are a number of holy wells, a couple of which we visited. I will probably write about them another time. 
Late afternoon we decided to take a walk along the disused railway line to the Slipper Chapel. It's a lovely walk, the sun out and butterflies everywhere - we saw a Painted Lady, any number of Meadow Browns and Ringlets and a few Small Tortoiseshells.
