Reunion

Although we're permanent residents in Belgium, the majority of 'foreigners' are ex-pats on short term contracts. So unfortunately this means that a lot of friends move away after a period of 2-3 years. We're lucky to have some 'permanent' friends, but in the 5 years that we've lived here we've lost a lot of friends already.

Our friend Fabiana is Brazilian and moved back to Rio de Janerio 18 months ago with her husband and children, but due to certain internet sites, it's easy to keep in touch.

Fabiana's husband is Portugese and over the last couple of weeks they've been on holiday in Europe visiting his family. She contacted me to say that she would be making a brief visit to Belgium and would love to meet up.

So tonight we met at our local brasserie for 'apero' and it was great to catch up.

After a morning of cleaning, followed by Zumba at the gym and then food shopping there weren't many blip opportunities, so tonight is an SP of me with Fabiana.
