Sharing
Now this is not the great image of all time, but it was wonderful to see the two kangaroos sharing the paddock that is usually inhabited by Silvester and Pedro, the two resident alpacas at Tricklebeck on Shipley Plateau. It's a bit hard to tell from the image, but the bush land at the back of this area has recently been backburned by the local bush fire brigade and our theory is that the kangaroos have had to invade this patch of ground just to find some feed. They have often been there over the past few days and believe me they are really, really big.
CCN and I were driving home quite late one night last week and there were two giant kangaroos just casually chomping away at the edge of the road. They weren't a bit worried about us, but it makes us realise how hungry they must be to expose themselves like that.
