A long day in the office, though I did manage to take a friend and colleague out to lunch which was nice. He'll shortly retire and be much missed.

Back to the office to submit my budgets, then it was off to pick up mum and home to G. I opened a bottle of wine as it's the start of my annual leave, but sadly others weren't for partaking.

Anyway, I'm delighted to be starting the leave. No doubt G will have things for us to do in the house. I'm looking forward to reading, eating and just generally taking it easy.
