Dublin Street

A lazy day in Dublin, recovering from the exertion of our short birding tour (bird images starting here).  We shopped for a mouse (to replace one which fell out of a partly open pocket on my backpack on the trip from London), watched Wimbledon, napped, and watched France beat Iceland 5-2 in Euro 2016; Iceland were the Cinderella team of the tournament, and went out in style with two good goals.

This image was taken on Abbey Street from a tram (my mark on the map is approximate). For non-Brits, Ladbrokes is the largest bookmaker in the U.K. (following a recent merger). The colorful sign in the upper right is for a music and dance academy--its connection to Hollywood surely tenuous at best.
