Swallow Pond

The Rising Sun Country Park in North Tyneside has been developed in an area which used to be a coalmine until 1969. It incorporates Swallow Pond, a waterbird sanctuary.

I've blipped a picture of Swallow Pond at least twice before, here and here. It looked very lovely in the sun this morning as I passed it whilst out jogging so I took this shot on my phone.
