Old Ground

I haven't done any photo studio work since college, so with the opportunity to do some work with Alex Lambrechts and Roberto Aguilar at their London (Battersea) Studio, I met up with them. It was good to be back in Battersea as it's where my grandparents, dad, and loads of other relatives lived, including my youngest brother who died in 2001.

It was also a chance to work with their Hasselblad and Leica cameras. The model in the pictures is Mimi Labouchere, an up and coming model, who wanted some pictures to build up her portfolio to send to agencies and magazines. It's a tough world in the model/photographic industry but I think she has what it takes. The portfolio was to be essentially monochrome, but she has beautiful blue eyes so I've processed the file in colour, and the extra in mono.

I got home late evening, twenty minutes after the start of the Germany v Italy game. I was rooting for Germany as my german friend and I are hoping for a Wales v Germany final! It was an exciting match which went to penalties and an amazing amount of misses made it great viewing.
