Hubby and his boss

We attended a celebratory dinner in Aberdeen for the wonderful Alison McInnes, who sadly was not re-elected as our MSP in May. Alison's political career spanned 25 years, first as a councillor in Gordon District, then Grampian Region, and for the last nine years as a member of the Scottish Parliament where she was respected on all sides as the Lib Dem spokesperson on Justice. Colin has only worked with her since late last year but what a great few months he's had. I found out too that Alison was a product of my life's work, community education, having her first experience of committees as a member of the Parent and Toddlers group in Ellon!
