Early Sunday Play

The sky from my window 4.45 this morning. Having got myself off Gabapentin, that had started to give me horrid side effects, I'm afresh discovering the Insomnia of an ageing body. 
I've started again the habit of having a few flowers around. So, top R, Poppy found on a river walk, picked & left on the path. I couldn't ignore it. Bottom right : when I retired a kind woman gave me this funny wee clock ( knowing I always have a cat ). It's so kitsch, I find it irresistible. The roses : I've been doing a summer prune and feed to encourage more flower later. I'd not realised what a beauty this Rose it. I inherited it & have no idea what it is.It has a wonderful perfume.

A smile I enjoyed yesterday on Radio comedy : ' HM Queens voice, leaving a ansa-phone message. " One is wondering if one might be eligible for German Citizenship ? " .
