Hydrangea macrophylla

Mopheads(Hydrangea macrophylla) are the most popular hydrangeas grown in home gardens and landscapes. Most mopheads grown today are blue or pink. A few varieties are white.

Our Hydrangea bush is flowering just now. The Head Gardener cut it back quite a bit last year as it is getting huge, and it has less flowers this year. It is an old bush, a cutting from his mum's garden originally. It is nice to cut a few heads for the house, but this year as there are less I will not do that.

A mixture of sunshine and showers today, and heavy showers when they come. My washing is hanging out there, but I doubt it will dry. At least it is getting a blow!
