On shetland

Today’s expedition would see us take a car journey to Toft to get the 20minute ferry to the Island of yell. A short car journey to Gutcher and another 10 minute ferry to the Isle of Unst. A rather interesting drive to Haroldswick where we visited the boat haven, no one really interested but it paid a few coppers to keep the heritage alive. We had a snack in the tea room before heading off to post our postcards from the most northerly post office in britain. Then it was the reverse journey back, wondering which ferry was which.

There was a bit of waiting around but all was good. Some beautful scenery to be admired on the way back and each way you turn is water of some description.

We had tea then headed out for town! Not town town but town to look for a web cam. We found the sea level web cam which pleased dad, saw some seals, watched a ship leave port and headed back for bed.

Another good day on Shetland.
