It's ICAD time again = Index Card a Day!
June 29 and ICAD #29 - I'm going for 61 total index cards, with art this year. One a day for the months of June & July, an annual project. Mine are 4" x 6" and I love having this small, non-precious space to play on.
While I was away visiting with my sister and going to the Barnes Foundation -an amazing collection of art which my Great Uncle helped to secure- I got behind on my ICADs. I usually spend a few minutes each day creating these -it is a DAILY project. I managed to do a few, but had to catch up when I got home. No matter! I did not fret about it, knew I would catch up & I did at my own pace.
This was the last card I made of a whole bunch and I am happy to say I am currently up to date now. For this card I used a scrap of "under paper" (what I create on top of), rubber stamping and a vintage photo of me (age 8?) printed on soft vellum paper. I was sitting on the floor at my grandmother's home in Florida, playing with her dog Liebchen. I do not think I was truthfully thinking "You haven't seen anything yet" -but I could not help but have some fun and add that rubber stamp saying to this card! An extra photo shares the book I am making out of all my index cards this year. I have a few Galleries of the past years ICADs up on my website: find 2014 gallery is here!
