Kangaroos

It was a lovely and sunny morning.  By the time I got my sunblock on and headed out the door, it clouded over and been a few showers too.  Still, it's been warm.

I had planned a relaxing morning but wide awake early.  Out the door and we headed towards the beach for the day.  On arrival, the showers started, so it was time for plan B.  Plan B was to head into Cairns city for a look around.  What a great peerie city, and well laid out.  Had a look about the shops and diwn at the waterfront and stopped off at a lovely café for lunch.  We headed back to Port Douglas in the afternoon and hoped the sun might come out, no joy but enjoyed a swim in the pool at the apartment. Heading out for a look about town tonight :)

On our way to Cairns, I spotted a field full of animals and headed down to see what was going on.  Turned out to be a field of wild kangaroos :)  My first time seeing them in the wild.  They look so cute and cuddly but as I approached,  they were very wary and bounced away to a safe distance.  Thwy seemed to remind me of meerkats when perched up on their back legs :)  Taken at the bowling green at Trinity Beach, Queensland.
