She must be a very thirsty hummingbird because I had time to capture multiple pictures as she sipped the sugar water. This was my favorite. I added a second one, with her tongue sticking out, as today's extra.

I captured the hummer's photo this morning, but late this afternoon I missed a photo opp that would have delighted me. Just as Gulliver and I walked out the back door, the pileated woodpecker landed on the suet feeder five feet away from us. One quick look at the intruders (Gully and me) and he took off. Dusk was falling and he didn't return. You win some and lose some. Here's hoping he comes back tomorrow.
