Red Bug

I intended to photograph a flower today, and only a flower, for FlowerFriday.    I was concentrating on the daisies when I looked over and saw this red "bug" on the salvia.  I have no idea what it is, even after a google search.  Perhaps the bug qualifies for the "B" twist?
