Llanberis
Spent a great day in Llanberis today, hiking around Llyn Padarn and visiting the Slate Museum Hospital. The picture is the view from one of the wards.
When I had my kayaking lesson, my instructor, the delectable Dan, said it was a nice walk around the lake. Unfortunately what he didn't say is that most of it was uphill and you had to climb halfway up the quarry to get round on one side! Still, it was invigorating and together with a canal walk with Carl this evening, added another 10 miles to the total!
Extra is the Lake Railway train, with the fabulous driver putting on a show for me.
