A Monsoon Kinda Day

If I didn't have to go out today, I wouldn't have. But, alas, during monsoon season if I subscribed to that attitude I would never go out.

It's really cool right now, about 74°/23°, but the humidity is 83%. Places don't adjust their air conditioning accordingly. Obviously, you have to park the car and, in my case, walk carefully through the rain. When I'm  wet and walk into stores blowing cold air, I shiver.

Today is my day to get beautified - manicure, pedicure and haircut. I go outside, get wet and go inside again. Brrr...

The monsoon lasts officially until 30 September. In the meantime, we can expect the early parts of most days to be hot and sunny. Later, big black clouds hover and a wicked storm will ignite. Funny thing about this time of year is that it could rain on one side of the street and not the other.

Yesterday, my neighborhood received an inch and mom, a mile away, got 0.15 inches. Today doesn't fit the usual pattern but I kinda love it.
