Somme 1916

I spent most of the journey into work today reading about the events 100 years ago... in these days of turmoil, it can be too easy to forget the many lessons we should have learned by now.

I only read about wearehere on my way home and I am not sure quite how I would have felt had I come across scenes like these... although I have a pretty good idea. This is such an amazing way to mark the centenary and worth a visit.
