Raining at Wisley

Met a friend from law school at Wisley today. We first met nearly 25 years ago. She still works as a lawyer but has Fridays off, and had an hour spare on her way to make 180!!! floral centrepieces for a do at her son's school tonight.

We dodged the rain, she told me how all the US banks are making plans to leave and go to Dublin and Paris, we ate Bakewell tart and wondered if we'll be OK in the end. Or not.

Anyway - roses still looking good if you're in the area, but not for much longer. This was taken in the Cottage Garden (I think that's what it's called?) which is just coming into its best I think. There's an amazing looking sunflower installation about to bloom up near the sausage cafe - will be spectacular in a week or 2.
