Tri for a Cure

It rained most of today. John and I hopped in the car to seek out a run with no car traffic (we ended up at Ram island Farm). It's a lazy Sunday summer morning so we had time.
On the way we realized we were driving right into the all-women's triathlon in progress. While this isn't the best shot, it was very touching to remember that most of these women racing have trained to finish this race with someone in mind. Some are cancer survivors themselves. Some have lost people to cancer or love someone with cancer or simply long to help by raising money for cancer research.
Even in the constant drizzle, most were smiling. I am inspired.
