Weta workshop

In Wellington NZ, on our great family escape.

As a family of geeks (apart from Miss C, who needed to have the plot of the Lord of the Rings explained to her quietly and quickly - she looked somewhat confused...) we really enjoyed our day at the Weta workshops, where they create props, and amazing digital animation and special effects. The craftsmanship and artistry was so inspiring.
We also took the chance to visit the miniature ( and bigature) sets for the new generation of the Thunderbirds. Our guide very proudly pointed out the rocks and trees that he had made. Very charming!
