100 million tonnes of pebbles

Chesil Beach, from below Abbotsbury. Great kite flying weather down here today ... so we did! Trundled along to Lyme Regis together with most of the rest of Dorset, or so it seemed. Backtracking (via Devon!) to Charmouth the reason for the crowds was revealed when The Red Arrows burst on the scene and performed a spectacular aeronautical show.
Apologies for yesterdays silliness. Of course we are in Dorset, for Weymouth 2012 and a family holiday. The Phormium is one that I have grown at home but this time was seen over the fence in a Bournemouth school garden. The nice backlighting courtesy of a Buddleia in flower!
