Llan de Cubel with Anna-Wendy Stevenson

Around this time of year there is normally free traditional concerts in Gijón's Plaza Mayor. In the past we have been treated to many local acts, as well as musicians from Scotland, Ireland, Brittany and elsewhere. One of my very favourites were Wolfstone, who performed here in 2010 ... pauses to search for 'Gillies' on Spotify, aaahhh ...

The following year there was a double bill of Altan and Capercaillie (although not free, but worth every penny, and more).

Tonight it was a great concert to a packed plaza, by long established local Asturian band Llan de Cubel, with special guest fiddler from Scotland, Anna-Wendy Stevenson.
