Calton Hill

Today was day 1 of the school holidays and we have a very sad L as she misses school and all her friends already.

I dropped her off at G&G this morning before dropping my car off at the garage in Sighthill.

I got the tram into Edinburgh city centre and went for breakfast in John Lewis. St James Centre is a strange place at the minute as its being demolished in preparation for the new construction (albeit I did hear one if the main sponsors pulled out).

I then decided to visit Calton Hill. It's a place I've never visited before even though it's right on my doorstep!

I just thought it was a hill with 'stuff' at the top but I walked about here for about 2 hours soaking up all the history.

It's a fascinating place with great history. If you haven't been and get the chance....Go!

I then walked all the way to Murrayfield for 5 games of ten pin bowling averaging 170 over the 5 games so well happy with that!

Then I met MrsT & L at F&B at the Gyle for dinner before jumping back on the tram, picking up car and heading home.

Tonight, perhaps a quick run but no gym.
