Another terrific day of sport. Seeing the grit and determination of so many athletes is such a stark contrast to what we'll see come August when the football season starts. It sickens me when people from the football world talk about 'passion', an attribute which so few of them actually possess.

Such a shame Armitstead couldn't snatch the gold but a valiant ride nonetheless; I am genuinely astonished at the fitness of the cyclists, they are machines. I get tired just watching them! And what about Adlington - reckon she'd give Moby Dick a run for his money.
