Today marks one of the biggest events in Philippine History : The inauguration of the first Mindanaoan President of the Republic of the Philippines. President Digong Duterte swore oath in front of over a thousand guests at Rizal Hall inside the Malacanang Palace. People from all over the country tuned in, both in social media and their tellies, to witness the turnover of office from former President Noynoy Aquino to Mayor Duterte. I was not able to hold back my tears. This is the first time that I cried, out of nowhere, for a president. I didnt see it coming. I may be overreacting but it did happen. I tried hiding it by wiping my eyes as soon as I realized tears where falling but my mom could not contain it. She went and looked for a tissue roll and started letting out a little sob.
