Ellis Beach

A breezy start to the day and fairly cloudy, it soon passed and been a lovely warm and sunny day, max 28 degrees. 

I'm fairly getting used to this early starts but best not waste my holidays in bed.  No plans for the day.  We headed north for a run.  Had a peerie walk about Mossman and then Newell but it was fairly cloudy, so we headed south and the sun came out to play.  Enjoyed a cuppa in Palm Cove and then headed to Ellis Beach for the day.  I've seen plenty of birds today, including a King Fisher and a Brahminy Kite, also love watching the Fruit Bats in the late afternoon.  Off out in town for a pint later.  

We tried a few beaches but Ellis beach seems to be the best, well at least it doesn't have crocodile warnings!   The beach is a couple of miles long and we had it pretty much to ourselves, with the odd person passing every now and then.   Looking out from the palm trees and towards Double Island on the distance.
